Sitting at my computer this morning, I am printing out flyers for a Holiday Toy Drive that we are having at work. (I am a little vexed that I can't label it a Christmas Toy Drive but I have been told that is inappropriate,) Oh well, it is the thought that counts, right? I am just glad we are doing SOMETHING!! The unwrapped toys will be taken to the Greer Police Department in South Carolina for distribution to children who are in need.
My son (who drives a FORD Mustang-we raised him better than that!) is helping to organize a toy drive with some of the Mustang enthusiasts in this area. It will benefit the "Toys For Tots" campaign. The Carolina Vettepack will be taking donations for our charity, Meals on Wheels. "From Our Wheels to Theirs", an appropriate donation for our group! At our Christmas party (notice I am now free to say CHRISTMAS!!), we will taking approved donations of foodstuffs, pet food and monetary gifts to be taken the following week.
