CORVETTE -Carolina Vettepack - Spring & Charleston

Wow! I cannot believe it is the first of March! February came in and went in such a hurry! There are unmistakable signs of spring evident the last week or so in the upstate of South Carolina. The birds are really talking in the mornings, the jonquils are starting to bloom and I noticed the Bradford pear trees at the front of the neighborhoods look like they are about to open up any minute!

Check your websites and I bet you will see that there will be some cruise ins happening this month! Our favorite cruise-in car, the 72 coupe, is getting a few things taken care of so hopefully it will be ready to go soon. It is a great car to take to the events because it is Steel Cities Gray and you don't see a lot of those around anymore. The 72 is really very comfortable (a lot people think they are not) and I never get tired of riding around in it. It has a good bit of room for stuff unless you have the tops off but I still manage to find room for what I need.

Also, the Carolina Vettepack hopes to get out for a dinner cruise next weekend. Some of us in the group have had some forced downtime since the holiday season and that means we are all chompin' at the bit to get out and around! We are always on the lookout for new places to go and see!

In April, there is a group, Coastal Carolina Corvette Club, that is putting on a show on April 19 in North Charleston, SC, called Vettes Doin' the Charleston.
Ladies, the hotel is next to an Tanger outlet mall! Our little group is planning on driving down early that Saturday and taking in the show, then going out to eat some good low country seafood! Sunday morning, the plan is to drive into Charleston and cruise the Battery. Check out this Corvette club at www.4c.com

More to come later on upcoming events....
