Out of the Grey Misty Morn, a Flash of Yellow.....

Just an update on the new bird feeder. This morning was foggy, drizzly and grey. Standing by the kitchen window with the first cup of coffee of the day, I was watching the cardinal pair and a red-headed finch (I really must research the proper names!) sharing the feeder. All of a sudden, there was a flash of bright neon yellow!!! A male Goldfinch zoomed in to a free perch! There was a tense moment when Poppa cardinal tried to chase him off. Luckily, the Goldfinch was not deterred for long and soon was having breakfast. This was the first time I have seen him and hope he will be back for seconds!!
