A Wonderful Spring Day...

What wonderful weather we have had in upstate South Carolina this weekend!! Perfect weather to be out cruising in your convertible. Which is what we did this morning when we headed out to the Carolina Vettepack Mystery brunch.

Twelve of the CVP faithful met up and drove through the backroads of Spartanburg county to enjoy the Sunday brunch at Chandi's Bistro of Spartanburg

There we enjoyed many different food offerings. There was something for everyone, whether you had a taste for breakfast or lunch. The staff there gave us our own room to enjoy the food and the company. We discussed our new club shirts and got our order forms filled out. Our plan is to have a group picture at the National Corvette Museum in September while we are at the 15th Anniversary Bash this coming labor Day Weekend.

Upcoming CVP events were also being discussed for the next couple of months. There are so many destinations in the Southeast that are in easy reach of our little group.

And for the nature lovers out there, the hubby put up the new birdfeeder Friday afternoon. Saturday morning while looking out the kitchen window with the morning's first cup of coffee, I noticed first the male Cardinal, then the female land on the new feeder and enjoy some breakfast sunflower seeds. Then came the bonus...Momma Cardinal came zooming in and banked a turn into our side porch and into the Evergreen Clematis that is growing on a horizontal chain under the eaves of the roof. Seems that was the perfect spot for her to build a nest. With the brimming urn fountain under my kitchen window and the new birdfeeder, I think they will be quite happy with their new lodging. I am looking forward to keeping an eye on the new baby cardinals coming our way.

Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful gift of spring!!
