Aappy 4th of July everyone!!!!
I am sitting here with the laptop in my recliner blogging while watching the local news. Isn't technology wonderful?? The plan is to take the laptop with us on the National Corvette Museum 's 15th Anniversary Caravan. Discussion has been started on getting a Verizon wireless card so we can use the laptop on the road. I have decided to buy a new memory card for my digital camera just for Caravan pix.
The official route book for the Caravan arrived this week. I have been savoring the anticipation of diving in and reading everything that has been set up for the Caravan. The great part is that the hubby and I killed ourselves Thursday night to get the yard all spiffed up for the holiday weekend. I had yesterday off from work so I got my food shopping done. I plan on relaxing and reading the Caravan route book while enjoying the wonderful weather we are experiencing in beautiful upstate South Carolina today.
The Carolina pork barbeque that I got up at 5:00 a.m. to start cooking is beginning to scent the air. There is a watermelon in the outside fridge a'chillin. Today is especially appropriate to give thanks for all our blessings that we have, home and family. To remember the lives of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom and those who continue to safeguard our way of life.
So as we prepare to enjoy the wonderful food, family& friends, and the fireworks celebrations, remember all the history of this unique United States of America holiday.
God bless the United States of America and may he allow our flag to continue proudly flying for all to see!!
